According to the Jets official Twitter page, Pace will undergo surgery on Monday in Charlotte, NC.
The injury took place in Friday's preseason game against the Washington Redskins and, according to the New York Daily News, might keep the 29-year-old off the field for six weeks.
Pace led a strong Jets pass rush last season with eight sacks in 12 games, while also recording 55 tackles.
